My name is Samantha, and I'm a fiber addict.

I started this blog mostly because I wanted a place where I could post pretty things as I dabble a bit in photography and knitting.
On My Needles

FO: Echo Flower Shawl (Ravelry Pattern Page)

This pattern has been in my queue forever. It’s cute, it’s free, and it has nupps (which I had never tried before). I used some yarn I bought at Olds Fiber Week last year from Ancient Arts Fibre Crafts. It’s 70% Long Staple Cashmere/30% Silk and it feels like buttah. It doesn’t look like it’s still being sold though, which is a crying shame. It feels like a cloud on my shoulders, which is exactly what I would expect from such an expensive skein.

The pattern itself was pretty well written. I used nearly all of my yarn and it turned out to be a decent size. I made a couple modifications to the very end of the edge chart and kept pretty good notes about yardage used per chart repeat (details on my project page). Overall, I’m pretty happy with the result.
